12:56 Days on Mars |
Day 20 We found Kelly the next day on Phobos. She was unconscious and lay on the remains of a creature or robot scattered into parts. You probably think how we found her? Yes, we did not look for her, because we did not know where to look for her. An image came to the computer from her spacesuit. That's how we found her. "Who will fly?" Jason asked. "I am!" Paul immediately volunteered. "This is clear. Who else? You won’t fly there alone." “Okay, I'll fly,” I agreed. “I will report from the scene. A joke, if what, ”I added, looking at the serious faces of my friends. “I will fly, too,” Steven said, “we already have a type of combat crew,” he smiled wryly, “but we will take a lot of weapons.” “That's for sure,” Paul agreed immediately, “I'll go and take all what we need.” “I doubt that the weapon will help you, but take it,” Jason agreed. “It won't help, but it's calmer,” Steven said to him. I agreed with him, although I don’t like weapons. I do not like to kill, I do not like when even in films people are killed. Unless for self-defense or to protect your family. This is clear. This must be done. "Good. We will cover you," Jason seemed to think about something. “Trap,” Alex said unexpectedly. “I agree,” Mary said, “maybe you better not fly.” We feel sorry for Kelly, but if something happens to you, we will have a great loss. “What a trap,” Steven dismissed, “what is the point of setting us a trap on Phobos when they flew here and threatened us.” “Maybe these are different aliens,” I suggested, “Maybe the robot on Phobos belongs to one species of aliens, and the ones that came here are completely different.” What do you think? "What use of guessing. We fly. Why we waste our time," Steven exclaimed. We plunged into the space vehicle, which we called "Invincible" and entered the orbit of Mars. An hour later, we sat down on Phobos. We didn't find Kelly in the place where we saw her on the image from her camera. But the signal from her spacesuit was clear. We could easily track it. "Where's she?" Steven asked. Paul looked at the tracker. "Kilometer from here." “Seems like a trap,” in Steven voice sounded confident, “prepare the weapon.” We flew silently over Phobos. Unusual landscapes mesmerized and aroused a sense of anxiety. Then we saw Kelly. She stood on a stone and, as if nothing had happened was waving to us. "Kelly!" Paul shouted. "We see," Steven began to landing. “It's too simply,” I said. “Strange.” We landed the space vehicle near Kelly and jumping rushed towards her. Approaching, we began to hug her. She was alive and real. Although, it was hard to believe that we really so quickly found her. It seemed that the aliens left her on Phobos and flew away. "Yes, I am. It's me!” She exclaimed,“ stop squeezing me.” "How do you feel? Where are the aliens who kidnapped you? Where you were? What did you see? Were you on board of their ship? Are there many of them there? Did they talk to you? Did you want something? How did you end up here?" We bombarded her with the questions. Kelly shook her head. "I do not remember. I don’t remember anything. Woke up here already." We looked at her incredulously. “Okay,” Paul said, not hiding his joy, “Let's get out of here. We’ll talk later. We boarded our Invincible and returned to Mars. That's how we saved Kelly. What, quickly saved? Well, this is not a movie for you. This is real life, but everything happens in life. |
