On approaching Mars, Kelly came to her senses.

Kelly looked at the screens. Mars was already visible in all its glory. "Yes, why? Something is wrong?" Paul asked embarrassed. "We can't go back to Mars! We have to return on Deimos immediately!" I thought that Kelly had not yet completely regained her consciousness and did not understand what she was saying. "How return? What are you talking about?" Steven was surprised, "I won’t even think about it. I didn’t hire myself to fly there and back. Let Mary examine you first. Maybe you need some treatment. Or at least drink some pills." "I don't need pills. Come back!" Kelly said stubbornly. I supported her. I already knew what would happen next. She will ask Jason to convince Steven to return and he will agree. I told him about this. “I don’t understand what kind of the secrets of the Madrid court have you got,” he said, turning around the Invincible. Kelly did not answer him. We also did not know what to say. I just got ready to meet with the unknown and incomprehensible on Phobos. Perhaps even dangerous. About twenty minutes later we were flying over Phobos. "Where are we landing now" Steven asked, "in the same place or elsewhere?" “Let's fly to those creatures,” Kelly answered. "Wow!" Steven exclaimed, "you haven't enough talks with them?" Kelly was silent for a moment. "How far is it?" I asked carefully. “Three hundred kilometers,” she answered, “north of the fault.” There must be an abandoned city. Drive us there. I exchanged glances with Paul. He shook his head meaningfully. The city on Phobos it's, of course, interesting. "Big?" I asked. “Big,” Kelly answered at once. She realized that I was talking about the city. "And what will we do there?" Paul asked her. "Let's see at it and fly back." This made me a little happy. I already began to fear that Kelly decided to settle on Phobos for a while. Of course, I have nothing against Phobos, but being here together with some creatures is not very comfortable. Then we saw the ruins of the city and went to land. City on Phobos. I wonder who built it? Who lived in it? Where are the creatures who built these buildings now? We landed Invincible and silently looked around. We were surrounded by dark and light buildings of various shapes, heights and with different perspectives. Sometimes it seemed that they were built separately, then it seemed that they were merged into one structure. We stood and watched. Then Steven asked: "Where are they?" “Here,” Kelly answered calmly. I saw that mysterious creatures again surrounded us from all sides. I was not at ease, but I decided to pretend that I was not afraid and everything was fine. Big deal - aliens! We are aliens, too! We started to communicate.
