Marsiana
CHAPTER 13

On the Pluto was dark and cold. But Marsiana well seen in the dark and didn’t feel the cold. She stood on a hilly plain of black stones and stared around. She liked Pluto. Even she liked it very much. One can said Marsiana fell in love with the planet at the first glance.
‘Cool,’ she said squinting and smiling. ‘I like it here. I am feeling good here, even very good. Almost like in the reactor.
Marsiana stood a little more confident and went straight. She knew where she needed to go, though on the Pluto until now she has never been there before. Marsiana was confident, and her mood was rising more and more.
‘Mommy, Jenny,’ she said. ‘I know you were here. Daddy Max, too, was here. Together with you,’ Marsiana cheerfully waved to the stars above her head, smiled happily and went faster.
Ten minutes later Marsiana reached an old, abandoned spacecraft. How long it lies there, she did not know exactly, but probably a lot. She walked around the ship on all sides, knocked at several places on the body, then opened the door and stepped inside.
The ship was big. Two hundred meters in diameter, and inside it was a lot of space. Marsiana steadily crept along the unusual corridors cluttered with the weird items. If she wanted, she would quickly find out their purpose, but now she was interested in something else.
‘Here,’ Marsiana said, stopping near the dark wall. She ran her hand along the wall, and as if listening clung to it for a moment her cheek. ‘Yes, yes, it is here,’ she whispered, and in her voice sounded excitement. ‘Well, I came,’ she said firmly, and the wall crumbled to pieces as if it never existed.
Before Marsiana had been opened a large room, in which were raised the two sarcophagus of amazing shapes and surprising inscriptions on the surface.
Marsiana approached the sarcophagus and stopped. Inside were two beings. Externally, they are somewhat reminiscent of the people.
Marsiana began to examine them carefully. The creatures seemed to have fallen asleep lethargy. They didn’t look like dead at all.
‘Awesome! Awesome! Marsiana exclaimed delightedly. ‘Is this they? I’ve never thought that they look like it. Awesome,’ she repeated in the third time her exclamation.
Marsiana thought for a moment.
‘Why not, it may turn out,’ she said, referring to herself. There was none else to talk to on board the ship. ‘Billy comes here,’ - she said softly.
From somewhere aside came out Billy dutifully approached Marsiana.
He looked dazed, but not frightened.
‘This is cave?’ he asked, staring around.
‘Cave,’ Marsiana said.
‘You found?’
‘I found.’
‘How long ago?’
‘Just now.’
‘Where you found?’
‘There,’ Marsiana nodded.
Billy looked in that direction.
Dedicate Billy that he was not in a cave, but on alien’s ship, more over on Pluto she was not going. She worried about the nervous system of Billy. Who knows, suddenly with him something bad happen?
‘But how I’ve got here?’ Billy asked after short pause.
‘I called and you came,’ Marsiana calmly explained.
‘Ah, well,’ Billy lingered and looked at the sarcophagus. ‘Now it is clear. Is that a mummy?’
‘No, not a mummy.’
‘Who?’
‘Never guess. This is my great grandmother and great grandfather,’ Marsiana said.
Billy did not know how to react to this unusual statement, so he said nothing.
‘Give hand,’ Marsiana grabbed Billy’s hand and pricked with something his finger. On one of the sarcophagus dripped blood. Billy cried, pulled his hand back and stuck his finger in his mouth.
‘What are you doing?’ he exclaimed.
‘It should be done or you’re greedy for one drop of your blood for me?’
Billy without taking his finger out of mouth shook his head.
‘Well, that’s good.’
The sarcophagus in the place where the blood dripped suddenly hissed, puffed, and on the surface burned some characters.
Billy stepped back. He was scared. Marsiana unwillingly smiled.
“Let he think I'm a little witch!” she thought with pleasure.
‘What is it? What is it?’ Billy anxiously asked. ‘They come to life?’
‘Maybe they come alive. Okay, Billy, thank you for the help, but now you'd better go home.’
‘Yeah,’ Billy said and disappeared.
Marsiana remained on the ship alone.
Marsiana some time was studying the inscriptions on the sarcophagus. Of course, the blood of Billy provoked no reaction. The effect was caused by the radiation which Marsiana brought with her after visiting the reactor. But let Billy thinks that his blood took part in some kind of magical ritual.
After a ten-minute inspection all became clear for Marsiana. The ship and sarcophagus did not have the energy. Her ancestors, so sent her alarm signal that she was able to help them.
Marsiana already knew what she needs to do. How she can help her great-grandmother and great-grandfather. She quickly found the ship’s engines, and fully charged them with energy from a nuclear reactor. Then she came out of the ship and waited. For a moment nothing happened, then under the ship appeared pale glow of light, and she disappeared.
‘Great!’ Marsiana exclaimed delightedly and waved after the departed ship.
‘We'll see each other, great-grandmother and great-grandfather of the line of Daddy Max! I’m sure of it’ she shouted. ‘We will meet again. Too bad I do not know your name, but when he returns Daddy Max, I will ask him about it. Have fun and good luck!’
Marsiana nearly a minute was waving after the ship disappeared. Then she put down her hand and looked around.
“Maybe take a stroll on Pluto?” she thought. ‘And that it was not boring, invite Billy.”
So she did.
‘Bill, will you come with me for a walk?’ she said not loudly.
‘I will go,’ Billy was standing next to Marsiana and looked at her with admiring glance.
‘I understood everything!’ he exclaimed suddenly.
‘Really?’ Marsiana surprised. ‘Interesting, what you understood?’
‘This is all a dream. I dream of you,’ Billy said.
‘I see,’ Marsiana smiled.
‘Yes. And I love that I see you in my sleep. Such a good night's sleep,’ the boy's face broke into a satisfied smile.
‘I’m glad for you,’ Marsianas said.
Together they had a little walk around the neighborhood of Pluto.
‘We're in Arizona?’ Billy suddenly asked.
‘In Arizona, do not worry,’ Marsiana assured him.
‘What a wonderful dream,’ Billy said Billy. ‘Last year, I traveled with my parents in Arizona. I liked there. But now I see you in my sleep as if we are walking together in Arizona,’ Billy was really happy.
Suddenly Marsiana alerted. She felt the danger, although not yet understand exactly where from.
‘Billy, it’s time for you to go home,’ she said softly, and Billy disappeared without a trace.
Marsiana was alone again.
At some distance from the place where she was, in the air there was a faint streak of light. The light was not strong, barely noticeable.
‘Well, well,’ Marsiana said, stepping back a little. ‘Oh I do not like all this. It’s good that Billy is not here.’
On the surface of Pluto directly from the streaks of light began to quietly jump some strange creatures. There were many of them, and they all had the same face. They had a white shiny body, two arms, two legs, a head of black color, as if they were wearing a shiny helmet.
The creatures immediately went to Marsiana and began to surround her from all sides.
‘We came for you Marsiana. We will destroy you!’ they started to scream menacingly.
Marsiana saying nothing began to burn them. The creatures burned down and felt apart by whole dozens. But their number is not reduced. The band of light continuously spawned hundreds of new, and they all ran to Marsiana.
Marsiana began to get tired. Ring narrowed. Feet of Marsiana been already in the molten rock and burned exactly the reactor cores. The pressure on her body at that time was very high. A little more and she will not stand it any more.
‘Mommy Jenny! Mommy Jenny!’ Marsiana suddenly, almost crying desperately screamed out. ‘Help me! I beg you!’
And then the unbelievable happened. Near tired from fighting Marsiana from nowhere appeared Jennifer. She looked, as always, only the ground beneath her feet a little was lighting.
‘I’m here my daughter. Now I'll help you.’
‘Mommy Jenny!’ Marsiana cheered and ran to hug her.
Jennifer before hug her daughter made a careless gesture, and all creatures together with a strip of light disappeared without a trace.
There were only two of them on Pluto.
‘Thank you, Mommy Jenny,’ Marsiana said, hugging her mother. –‘I would not cope with them without you.’
‘Do not be afraid of anything Marsiana. I'll always help you,’ Jennifer said.
‘I miss you so much,’ Marsiana said. ‘You sleep Daddy Max flu away. I am completely alone. I have no one except the flowers,’ Marsiana complained about her fate.
‘All will be fine, my daughter. You will see. Be patient a little longer,’ Jennifer gently stroked Marsiana on her head and disappeared.
Marsiana wiped her tears and smiled. She was not scary now, she was not alone. She knew when she would feel very bad her mother always comes to help her.
Marsiana did not want to return to the house of Mrs. Carter, but she knew that she would have to spend some more time among the people.
Satisfied and happy to meet with her mother Marsiana returned to Earth.
