Marsiana 2-14
CHAPTER 14
‘What do you say, Major? You will be able to perform the job or let it do someone else?’ FSB General Commissarov looked at Major Menshov who was sitting in front of him.
Special Forces Major FSB Aleksey Menshov nodded. ‘I’ll do it, comrade General. Only this, I would like to personally choose the people for the job.’ 'Of course, Major,’ General Commissarov sighed with a relief relieved and noticeably got brightened. If major would refuse, his department was in a quandary. Find quickly replacement of major Menshov was not easy. ‘Marsiana moved in America,’ General Commissarov said. ‘Photo of girl you already have as well as her case. How she got there, we do not know yet. On our border the guards have not seen her. Most likely, she was taken from Ukraine.’ Listening to General, Menshov looked again at the photo of a smiling girl. It was hard to believe that she has some supernatural powers and is of great interest to intelligence agencies. But it seems that it really was so. ‘The task of your team is to get the girl back to Russia. Our authorities think that by her origin she belongs to us so she has nothing to do among the Americans. Is it all clear, Major?’ ‘Yes, comrade General. And what if the Americans would object?’ ‘Are you going to have to ask the permission for the export of the girls out of the country?’ the general replied with the question. ‘Of course not. But anything can happen. It is impossible to anticipate every situation in advance,’ Major Menshov put the photo of the Marsiana in the breast pocket. ‘So far the war and all the hype is very good opportunity to take out a girl in Russia. You see, Major? And then you do not have to take her plane right here. You’ll delivery her to the specified square, where you pass her to our people. I shouldn’t tell you that our submarines can go into any square at any time. And I think no one would notice her disappearance. Well, at least the first two or three days.’ ‘She's so important for us?’ Menshov asked. ‘You're even can not imagine how valuable she is. Even I can not imagine,’ General Commissarov answered. ‘And if you take into account who is her parents this girl in the future can even replace an entire army. It seems that neither the Americans nor she is still unaware of all her hidden possibilities.’ Major Menshov felt his back ran goose. The more General spoke of a mysterious girl, the more melted his confidence in the successful outcome of the operation. No, to give up the job, he was not going to, even in thought he did not, but Menshov understood that to perform the task will not be easy. ‘What if she refused to go with us?’ he asked suddenly. This possibility had somehow not occurred to him. ‘She is not a thing, but a living person. Do I have to use force to her?’ ‘Do not talk nonsense, Major. About the use of force do not even think about it. She will turn you in a powder’. On Menshov's face appeared the confusion. ‘Then I do not understand ...’ he spread his hands. ‘Okay, I will not torment you,’ on the face of the general appeared the shadow of a smile. ‘You will tell the girl that her father is back, and you know where he is now. I think that after these words she gladly go with you wherever you say.’ ‘Father?’ Menshov said with surprise. ‘Yes, father. Why it so surprised you. Each child has a father. She is not exclusion.’ ‘Well, no. I'm fine. Just it’s strange to hear about her father, after you have told here about the unusual abilities of girls. Well, it can replace an entire army and so on,’ Menshov said. ‘Maybe, Major. She can. Not now, but after a while she will. Therefore, we need as soon as possible soon bring her here, and make sure that this is her true homeland. By the way, her relatives live in Russia.’ ‘Yes?’ Menshov's eyebrows shot up. ‘And, quite a lot of them,’ General added affirmatively. ‘Well, as do you take that job or what? Do not change your mind?’ ‘I take comrade General. I’ll complete the mission.’ ‘Excellent. On the progress of operations will report to me personally. You’ve got it?’ ‘Yes,’ ‘Okay. Go on, get ready. No fluff to you.’ ‘To hell, comrade General.’ Major Menshov came out of the cabinet in the hallway and just now thought of mother of the girl. “Her father apparently is ours. But what country belong her mother to? Why general said nothing about it? Well, I’ll get to bottom of it myself.” Major Menshov with the sure steps came out from the FSB building. * * * Marsiana made a shot. Plasma’s clot got right on target, and the tank’s turret shattered into pieces. ‘It is much better then grenade,’ Minister of War Hefner said with satisfied standing beside her. ‘But hand grenades, I also advise you to take along on the expedition.’ They were on the test site of a corporation that was engaged in the development and production of modern weapons. ‘Good thing,’ Marsiana praised, looking at the beautiful body of the plasma emitter. The weapon was easy and convenient. ‘One full charged battery can make ten shots,’ Hefner said. ‘But it depends on the intensity of the fire and the strength of the object that you want to destroy. The program evaluates the radiator itself, a power charge is required for the destruction of a target. Just point and click on start.’ ‘How about air targets?’ Marsiana asked. ‘The weapon effective to destroy air targets at low altitudes. But…’ Hefner scratched his head. ‘I do not think that you have to fight the Oberon air alien fleet. Otherwise, excuse me for frankness miss no earthly weapons will not help you. Marsiana said nothing to it. In fact, she did not need a weapon. She could destroy almost any alien, using only her own strength. But that is not too shock, and stand out among the other members of the expedition, she decided, as little as possible to demonstrate her extraordinary abilities. Just only in the exceptional cases. Under normal circumstances, she was intended to be no different from the other members of the expedition. ‘Have chosen anything for yourself?’ Hefner asked after a pause. ‘Yes, that's one,’ Marsiana answered. ‘A great choice,’ Defense Minister praised her who in former times visited more than one hot spot. ‘I think so too.’ This examination of military weapons ended. Marsiana accompanied by Hefner friendly talking left the poligon.
