Marsiana 3-1
PART 3
Marsiana and Sarah CHAPTER 1
The crew of the space’s expedition named Oberon consisted of sixteen people. Two groups of Special Forces for five people in each, and six members of the crew of a spaceship who volunteered to deliver the expedition to Oberon. Astronauts were commanded by Aaron Harper. The SWAT unite by the FBI colonel John McKinney. None of them had ever been in the space before. For exception of the astronauts whom didn’t fly farther than the Earth's orbit.
Except of Marsiana in the expedition was another woman. Doctor Nicole Simon. Marsiana immediately made friends with her, although notice watchful eyes of her new girlfriend. Especially when she thought that Marsiana didn’t see how she looks at her. Marsiana decided not to attach any importance to this. The expedition was equipped with the most modern devices and weapons. The task of the expedition was to find the lair of the aliens and destroy it on Oberon, while there are not too many of them. If the need arises Special Forces could even use the nuclear weapons to eliminate the aggressor. However, colonel McKinney believed that they’ll manage without nuclear weapons. All hope for the success of the mission he had placed on his soldiers and two robots androids who automatically controlled the flying of attack aircraft. NASA decided that on arrival at Oberon in the first launch they’ll send the androids with the purpose to explore the projected area where the aliens probably settled. People come into the case at the final phase of the operation. That is, they’ll cleat the territory. This decision was very reasonable, considering that Oberon, especially on the shady side where the ultra-low freezing temperatures was prevailing on satellite. According to specialists of NASA the mission to Uranus' orbit should last no more than three days. Just three days and people will fall in a very strange and unfamiliar world. Few believed not only in the success of the mission, but also in the fact that they all come back to Earth. However, on the Earth could automatically return the ship with or without the crew on board. And even then only if the equipment and engines will not be affected in a collision with the strangers. There were only volunteers. The space ship named "Oberon" was launched from Cape Canaveral at exactly 17.00. By entering the Earth's orbit, he took a course to Mars. Next were Jupiter and Uranus the final destination of the mission. By the end of the first day, when everyone on the ship got acquainted with each other and with the different thoughts, feelings and expectations prepared for the meeting with Oberon, Marsiana came to a scientific expedition consultant Markus Whitman. He from the very beginning of the expedition kept a little bit away from the rest of the crew, referring that he was very busy. Sometimes he talked only with the commander of the ship about something. Now he was busy with a set up of the androids of the aircrafts. Marsiana for moment was watching him standing behind him, then came very close and said softly: ‘You’ll fail.’ Back of Marcus shuddered, and then he turned his to face Marsiana. His gray eyes looked closely and carefully. He smiled. ‘Why not?’ his voice sounded a little dull, but was nice. ‘Now I’ll test of all systems, and everything will be fine.’ Marsiana smiled in return. ‘You will no be able to kidnap me or eliminated,’ she said without raising her voice. Marcus using all his willpower kept deadpan expression on his face, and even painted some confusion. ‘What are you talking about? I do not understand, Marsiana,’ he said, and his left cheek twitched almost imperceptibly. ‘You know well what I mean,’ Marsiana replied. ‘If you have such an opportunity, tell your bosses from the FSB, that you have no chance to complete your job which they gave to you,’ she paused, and an evil lights lit up in her eyes. ‘Interesting,’ she continued slowly. ‘How long have you been working for Russian intelligence services?’ Marcus turned pale, frightened look at her. ‘Do you know? But how? Who told you?’ ‘It doesn’t mean,’ Marsiana, enjoying his confusion mixed with fear. ‘I can only say that you will not be able to either shoot me or poison, or put to sleep. And if you have yet to make such an attempt, I'll just burn you. You're all clear, Marcus?’ Marcus Whitman opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but did not find something to say. Marsiana turned and left the chamber. Stunned with all he heard Marcus for a moment sat motionless in his chair, then went back to test the androids. True, he did it is slow and with stops. All his thoughts were concentrated on the words of Marsiana. He decided to do nothing yet, and his report to the center that he was recovered to postpone until better times. “If she wanted to kill me, she would do that. She had and has enough time for that,” Marcus mused, checking micro cams, built in the androids’ eye. “If she did not, it’s mean she need me for something. For what? If I only knew. Well, wait and see,” he put away the testing of the androids and began to write the encrypted message to the main counterintelligence center. * * * The flight of the space ship proceeded normally and by the end of the third day they went to the Uranus orbit. After a short adjustment of the course the space ship headed to Oberon. A few more hours of flight, and the expedition was already almost there. On many screens floated the gray surface of Oberon. The idea that they are now were separated from the house, by the hundreds of millions of kilometers extremely frightened and weighed down, but none of them was trying not to think about that, and no one could even think of sharing such kind of thoughts aloud. All pretended that everything is normal and nothing unusual had happened. As if it was an ordinary, unremarkable flight. ‘Did you choose the place for the landing?’ John McKinney asked turning to the captain Aaron Harper. Colonel of the FBI pretty successfully concealed his excitement that gripped him. He looked at Marsiana who was standing silently next to him. The presence of this extraordinary girl was very reassuring and gave him some confidence. And not only him but also all members of the expedition. That Marsiana was not like everyone knew everyone, but still in the flight training center they were strictly ordered to pretend that Marsiana is differ with nothing from the rest of the crew. Cute and sociable SWAT Lieutenant Kevin Greene was even ordered from time to time to flirt with Marsiana, but only so that his advances were looked natural and appropriate. Kevin once offered Marsiana cup of coffee, but she looked at him with a look that he had lost the desire to even come close to her. Coffee, however, Marsiana took from him. After a few turns around the Oberon, Harper decided to send to the surface the reconnaissance aircraft. With common consent the mission entrusted to Sarah, as members of the expedition together called one of the androids. Second android was named Nora. Externally, both the android looked like pretty girls and spoke on various topics. Sometimes, Special Forces soldiers, wishing to spend time in flight with some fun amused his companions came to the androids and invited on a date. Guys already roared with laughter when Laura and Sarah answered with refuse, explaining that the date does not provide by the instructions. Do not think that they were full androids, what they represent in science fiction films. Human’s was only the upper part of the body. The lower part was built into the pilot seat of the aircraft. Both android has a pleasant voice, and do all the orders. Not surprisingly, the first flight was charged to the androids. Nobody wanted to risk with people, and there was no sense in it. The loss of the android, even with the face of a pretty girl is not as painful and irreparable as the death says of Dr. Nicole of the expedition or any fighter. Not to mention the astronauts. Without them, they should not have even thought about their returning to the Earth. However, on board the ship was a 3D printer that could print at the earliest cases, if not the whole of android, if necessary, then, at least, many of the details to him. When all was ready for the flight, all who were free of their duties crew members and Special Forces came together to see how the launch will take place and whether the android successfully landed on the surface of Uranus’s satellites. At the very image of the Uranus, many of them tried not to look. Oh, it was very grim and threatening picture. It seemed that the bulk of huge and alien to people planet is about to pounce and swallow the ship. The presence of the Uranus is very acted on the psyche. Spaceship’s captain Aaron Harper assured that everything will be a little easier when the ship enters the shadow of the satellite, and the Uranus will be inaccessible to the observe. However, it will be last just for a while. Marcus Whitman, as a scientific consultant and expert for the last time checked the connection and functionality of Sarah. Everything was OK. He walked away from the aircraft and looked around. His eyes met the eyes of Marsiana. He from surprise blushed and Marsiana slightly smiled. ‘Poor baby,’ said one of the men standing beside Marsiana. ‘You about Sarah?’ she asked the guy about two meters tall. ‘About her. How she’ll be feeling there without us,’ the fighter said, and pointed down. ‘This is just a robot,’ Marsiana shrugged. ‘She’s too pretty,’ the fighter said. Marsiana did not say anything and, using that everyone was busy preparing the aircraft went to her cabin. She closed the door behind her, examined the room. She listened. But she did it not as much as humans do that, but in quite different way. She found one listening device and burned all the electronics. ‘Markus, he, of course, who else,’ she said quietly, and added with quite a different tone. ‘Michael, where are you?’ ‘On Oberon. Waiting for you,’ immediately replied astronaut Michael Johnson, who at the last moment received from Marsiana the instructions do not appear on the ship, and to go directly to the Oberon. After she found out that Marcus was watching after Marsiana decided not to open all the cards, and withhold Johnson to the extreme case. ‘Did you find?’ she asked. ‘Yes,’ Michael replied briefly. ‘A lot of them?’ ‘Sufficiently.’ ‘Nobody saw you?’ ‘No.’ ‘Excellent. I'll soon be there,’ the connection was lost. Marsiana was thinking about what to do now. She had no doubt that she easy will cope not only with the Russian agent Baklanov, who was not at all a problem for her, but also with the creatures on the surface of Oberon. Marsiana was worried about something else. For some time now, it suddenly began to disturb the idea that something has gone wrong with the expedition. What exactly she did not know, but after they have passed the orbit of Mars, she had a feeling that something has changed. No, not on the ship. There, on the Earth. Increasingly, Marsiana was beginning to think that the expedition itself is a trap. It was primarily for her. They just decided to send her away from the Earth, using her own desire to help people, and someone there, in secret and inaccessible labs hoped she will not come back on the Earth anymore. For the authorities, the security services and the military, she was a dangerous element, a separate force that can disrupt the established order. They just decided to get rid of her. When Marsiana understood that she was very sick and felt sorry for herself. But then she decided that not all people are bad, and she has to protected from the invasion of strangers at least her grandmother, Mrs. Carter, friends, Christy and Billie, in the end her beloved flowers! Marsiana therefore decided to continue her participation in the expedition, and to pretend that she does not know anything about it and suspects nothing.
