Marsiana 3-2
CHAPTER 2

At a time when Marsiana talked with Michael, on a distant Earth, the FSB Colonel Lopatin made an urgent report for General Commissarov. His gray face looked tired and discontented.
‘Operation failed, Comrade General,’ he said shortly, as soon as the entered the general's office.
General Commissarov stiffened in his chair.
‘What are talking about, Lopatin? What kind of operation you say?’
‘Oberon. Our agent declassified,’ Lopatin said.
‘How it can be? It’s impossible.’ General Commissarov exclaimed sitting up a little in his chair.
Lopatin spread his hands.
‘Unfortunately it's true. Marcus Whitman recruited by our intelligence in the days of his college career declassified. The whole operation has lost all meaning.
‘Who? How?’ in the voice of general could be heard bewilderment and irritation: “Nothing can do in proper way!” he thought, breaking the pen, which he picked up from the table.
‘Marsiana. She knows everything. Marcus just told it himself,’ Lopatin said.
‘Did she tell him it?’
‘Yes. Came to him in the laboratory and directly in the eyes said it.’
‘How reacted, Marcus?’
‘Refuse all. But Marsiana did not believe him. I can not imagine how she knows all,’ Lopatin said thoughtfully. ‘Leaks of information from our office absolutely excluded. Maybe ...’ he shrugged. ‘I do not know what to think of.’
General Commissarov waved.
‘Well. What she had said to him? She threatens, maybe? She said she will bring on clean water? Maybe pass the FBI? On the ship there are their Special Forces.’
'She said that she kill him if he tries to hurt her.’
‘That's how,’ General Commissarov said slowly and felt in thoughts. ‘It’s good. If she did not kill him immediately, so he needs her for something. Maybe let he tries to make deal with her? Convince her that he had changed; he repented of his intentions and ready to atone for his guilt by his blood?’
Lopatin allowed shook his head himself.
‘This is in our country all love public repentance and redemption. All still can not forget the war with the Germans. The Americans believe a lie detector and its methods.’
‘What do you offer?’ General Commissarov asked.
Lopatin first looked at the window, then right into the eyes of his boss.
‘We have to give Marcus new job.’
‘Really? What job?’
‘Let he will do everything that expedition stayed on Oberon forever.’
‘Do you offers to blow up the ship of Americans?’ Commissarov amazed. ‘But in this case he also dies. I doubt he’ll do that.’
‘He had no choice. Nobody allow them to return to Earth. In the best case NASA will keep them on the Earth’s orbit, and when they try to land they shoot them down by the rocket. The cause may be what ever you like; the unknown viruses, the possible mutation of the body from the staying on the Oberon and all that kind. Americans are not resolved to let the members of the expedition back to Earth. Marsiana also is as a bone in the throat with her abilities.’
‘Yes its looks like true,’ Commissarov slowly said and again felt in thoughts. ‘I wished she worked for us, and then we would show them all.’
Colonel Lopatin made a gesture that could be interpreted as you want. Commissarov decided that the Assistant agree with him.
‘Do order Marcus to watch for everyone. If possible, when on board will be a little feds, let take over the ship or explode. Do you understand me, Colonel?’
‘I understood, Comrade General. But I doubt that Marcus agrees. He did not sign for it.’
‘You tell him. And let him turned out of this situation as he wants,’ general Commissarov replied. ‘Perhaps in a critical situation, such as when there is a real threat of death of the crew, Marsiana agreed to cooperate with us herself. After all, we are dealing with an eight-year girl. Children are very trusting. Let promise her something, tell her a story ...’
‘She is twenty years now,’ Colonel Laptev said quietly.
‘Whom?’ general Commissarov did not understand.
‘Marsiana. She suddenly grew up quickly,’ Laptev explained.
‘How can that be? Are you kidding?’
‘No, comrade General. Here are pictures of Marsiana. Marcus sent. Do you want to see?’
‘Not now. I’ll take a look later,’ general Commissarov was surprised. ‘It affects her unusual abilities? You want it to say.’
‘Exactly, Comrade General.’
‘After your words I more want to her to be with us. We must figure out something, Colonel. Do you understand me?’
‘I perfectly understand, Comrade General.’
‘Then do not sit here. Go to his men, let they figure out how we can get her. Understood me? A photo leave I take a look.’
‘I see, Comrade General,’ Colonel put a folder with photos on the table in front of General and left the office.
General Commissarov took his cell phone and begun to dial someone's number. He had a lot to think about. The girl turned out to be much more unpredictable than they had expected. Her amazing abilities just hit him. At the other end picked up the phone.
‘Nikita is it you?’ General Commissarov asked.
‘Yes, Comrade General. It’s me.’
‘Come to my office. I’ve got some business to you.’
‘I’ll be in a minute,’ the invisible speaker on the other wire put the phone down.
General Commissarov meanwhile began to look at the photos of Marsiana took by the agent Marcus on board the “Oberon”.
‘Pretty girl,’ General Commissarov said put photos away. On the door of his office knocked.
‘Come in, Nikita,’ he allowed loudly.
The office’s door opened, and appeared on the threshold the FSB captain Nikita Semenov. He was not the most experienced security officers, but he possessed a very extraordinary for the regular man psychic abilities.
‘Do you want to see me, Comrade General?’ he asked.
‘Yes. Come on. Sit down. There is the matter.’
When Captain Semenov sat down in the offered to him chair Commissarov gave him photos of Marsiana.
‘Can you get her and get to know what is on her mind?’ General asked directly.
Semenov took the photos and began to look at them.
‘Now?’ he asked.
‘If it possible,’ General Commissarov nodded.
Instead of answering, the captain Semenov looked over the general's head and Commissarov became clear that the captain went to work.
For a few seconds nothing happened then the body of Semenov ran cramp, he shouted wildly opened his eyes and fell dead on the floor.
This turn of affairs General Commissarov did not expect. He jumped up from his chair, and wanted to run to dead captain then he dropped back in the chair and reached for his weapon. It became clear that Marsiana somehow killed the captain. General Commissarov was scared. He suddenly began to feel that he was from all corners of the cabinet pursues unfamiliar to him Marsiana.
General Commissarov felt uneasy himself.
