The Alien Consciousness
CHAPTER 3

Awakening was hard, horrible and painful. Jennifer was the first to wake up. She faintly moaned and set on the bed and for some time set there motionlessly, her eyes shut. Frankly saying, she looked bad. Hair, tousled like after the hurricane wind, face puffy after snow and spots of lipstick on her left cheek. Not a trace remained of her yesterday’s dignified appearance she had been so proud of in company of her acquaintances.
Terrible headache teased her, she wanted to drink. In the mouth there was a musty smack. Running her fingers through her hair, Jennifer tried to open the eyelids and thoughtlessly looked through her fingers in front of her. From her throat escaped yet another groan. The nightmare has not disappeared, and there remained too many bright lights and strange objects around. She recalled something vaguely, but only some parts of it. Memories were so vague and fragmentary, that she was not sure of their reality.
She turned her head. Nearby, in the crumpled and rolled up during his sleep pants, was sleeping Max. Seeing him, Jennifer felt relief. Something getting clearer!
“My Lord! Lol, we’ve got drank yesterday like a pig.” she thought, dropping her hands down and trying to figure out where they were. In fact, the version that they spent a night in some hotel or motel was quite suitable for her. Really, it would be so natural and even maybe in some way romantic to wake up in such kind of institution after the noisy party. But the hotel was very strange. Nothing likes that, Jennifer had never seen before.
Walls. Are these the real walls? But if it does, why there are so many of them and why they’re moving? Or she just hallucinates? And floor – Jennifer picked up her feet and looked cautiously down. Really, is it possible to walk on it? Indeed, this is a real bottomless gulf, in which one could disappear without any trace, with no time to call for a help.
Then, Jennifer was caught by the saving idea, and she began to frantically fumble around with her hands. It seems that everything becomes clear – those brainless jerks decided to play a trick on them and put Max and her when they fell asleep inside the simulator of reality. What kind of simulator it was and where those imaginary “jerks” could get such a simulator Jennifer didn’t think and she didn’t care about it. She’s just thought that way on that moment. However, the surrounding reality didn’t look like a familiar to her reality. That’s why, perhaps, she sees what she sees! Well, let’s she just finds that damn switch! They’ll never forget her. They’ll pay her for everything!
In searching of the imaginary switch, Jennifer leaned over the sleeping Max, crept to the edge of the bed. For the moment, she got a doubt into her mid, everything looked very real. Does already exists in the world the computer’s simulators able so perfectly recreates such kind of reality? She did not know it for sure. May be the Japanese?
Max turned over. Jennifer was lying on his stomach and he rudely tried to push her away.
Jennifer got angry. Her head was splitting of headache, and now Max yet pushing her! When he at last wakes up?
‘Max, wake up!’ she shouted angrily; grasping his shoulder. ‘And tell that jerks let’s they turn off their program. Max, in fact, enough sleep. I know you do not sleep. Stop pretending! Come; bring me a glass of water and a headache tablets. Lord, what a nightmare I had! As if we you and me…’
Max went on peacefully snoring. Jennifer pushed him harder. Max did not open his eyes. But he stopped to snore. Hearing how he blows his nose, Jennifer alternately got blushed, and then got paled. She did not understand how he could keep sleeping while she cries so loud?
“Next time when I see Michael, take my word, I’ll kill that jerk. I wish he chokes with his sandwiches and beer. Harp on the same string the idiot – from Europe, from Europe. Max, my dear, open your beautiful eyes, I beg you.’ gently cooed Jennifer. Well, if he does not wake up after that, she just will push him out of the bed.
‘Car’s in the garage. I’m coming…’ muttered sleepily Max.
‘Oh, mighty Lord, did you ever wake up!’ Jennifer with the force pushed him in his shoulder, and Max woke up.
For a moment he stared blankly at her as if he did not recognize her, and then sat on the bad.
‘Got beer?’ he asked hoarsely. ‘My head’s splitting.’
‘You shouldn’t drink so much. No beer!’ cut off Jennifer sharply.
‘Who would say…And don’t shout... please. You're ... you're a lady.’
‘Go away, Max. Lady! Better tell me what all this means? What is going on here?’ Jennifer made a circular movement with her head. ‘Where are we, Max?’
‘On board … the ship.’ without thinking, simply replied Max, and immediately regretted about it. On his part, he remembered everything very clear.
‘On board the ship?’ Jennifer looked at him incredulously. ‘What ship? You mean in cruise, or what? But how we got there? We were far away from the ocean, as well as from any airport. Ah, I understand, decided to make a surprise for me, made me drunk, and when I lost my sense…’
‘Nobody made you drunk on purpose. On the alien’s ship,’ Max interrupted her. ‘From the other planet…I guess. Yesterday, after the party when we were returning home, do you remember anything?’
Jennifer looked at him with her eyes wide open. She had no idea what he was talking about. Cruise. Well, in general, she imagined what its looks like but the alien’s ship? Are they at the Disneyland?
‘In general, we were kidnapped by the aliens, like in the movie,’ finished Max. ‘I’m dying for beer.’
Jennifer said nothing. She tried to understand what another joke decided to play with her Max.
‘And you believe in this nonsense?’ finally she asked.
‘No, of course not, but look around.’
‘Simulator.’
‘Agree. But who need this? And what are we doing here?’
‘Oh, Lord. I know!’ Jennifer exclaimed in horror. ‘We were kidnapped by the terrorists, it’s a…it’s a…’she snapped with her fingers. ‘Well, you know whom I mean.’
‘Jenny, you really do not remember, or just pretending?’
Jennifer shook her head. If only she could remembered! Oh, then she would not lost herself in guesses.
‘Floor,’ suddenly said Max. ‘Did you see the floor?’
‘What’s wrong with it?’ interested Jennifer.
‘I don’t know fort sure but you tried walk on it?’
‘I am just going to. I want to use the toilet. Max, where's the toilet?’ Jennifer pulled the feet off the bed. ‘Say what you want, I do not believe you!’ she got up, wondering in which direction to look for the toilet. She needed it very much!
‘Jenny, your feet’
Jennifer, still gazing around, looked down. With her feet were all right. Again, these stupid jokes! Frowning, she went along the yellow wall. She did not believe that this is the ship, but the yellow walls, some hung in the air glowing purple bands – it was so unusual. The doubts began to creep into her heart. But she still resisted, and thought that they were at the hotel.
Max on this subject lost all his illusions yesterday. But he didn’t want to push on Jennifer. Let’s she comes to all herself. Without argues and quarrels.
‘Perhaps the owners of this place are the great originals,’ said Max, carefully watching the advancement of Jennifer. For him, she was already waist-deep in the brown-green substance. Of course, it’s all was only the optical illusion, and Max understood it perfectly. ‘I guess they bought all these tinsels to attract the customers,’ supposed he. ‘Well, may be they’re hippies? What do you think? By the way, have you already found the toilet? Need some help?’
‘No. Not yet but thanks.’ quickly replied Jennifer.
‘Okay. Well, Jenny while you’re looking for the toilet look also for the shower, please’
‘Okay, Max. But tell them let’s they bring me a headache tablets.’
‘Sure, Jenny’ Max got out of bed, but did not go anywhere.

Suddenly, the upper floor brightened slightly and went down. Far below, the yellow dots of light appeared. Flickering and shimmering like fireflies at night, they passed under his feet and disappeared.
Jennifer was already at the first niche. Only just two yards away, from the place where the screen has been set. Seeing on it the blue, flattened disk, she lingered for a moment.
‘Max, the Moon.’
‘Wrong. This mostly looks like the Earth and far away already. Pictures like that I've seen in some astronomical journal.’ replied Max.
‘Do you seriously think that way?’
‘Whenever you are going to ask me about it, I will answer that it is a hotel, but for my part I tell something different…’
‘That it’s the alien’s ship? Am’ I right?’ with irritation finished for him Jennifer.
‘No matter how wild and ridiculous it sounds, but maybe someone has decided to conduct an experiment on us. Somebody decided to check out our psyche. Maybe we’re going through the selection of the first Mars’ crew?’ answered Max.
‘I am not a rabbit or doggy for somebody’s experiments,’ coldly said Jennifer. ‘They have no right, without our permission, just kidnapped us at night… Anyway, I do not want to fly to Mars. And stop talking nonsense! I'm already sick of it! If after I get back, no at first I’ll find the toilet – they would not let us out, I swear I’ll make such a mess here. And then let’s they do not say that I did not warn them!’ Jennifer caught by the emotions waved her hand; Max saw how her left hand stuck in the yellow wall. Cried out of fear, Jennifer quickly drew back her hand.
They did not believe their eyes. In the wall’s thickness, like a little piece of the Sun, was blazing Jennifer’s hand.
Feeling weak all over, Jennifer decided that she has lost her hand, and now she will be – but why will be – no, she already is a cripple! Barely able to stand on her shaky and wobbly feet she looked down. Oh, thank you, Mighty Lord! Her hand was on its usual place. For a moment the fingers shone like the plasma, then again acquired its normal appearance.
Max was already next by her. His face looked worried.
‘Next time, if it not difficult for you, be careful and try to not swinging with your hands. Okay? Ship its or something else – carefulness isn’t spare.’
Jennifer’s face was white as a sheet of paper.
‘I did not know. I was.... Max helps me to find that demon toilet and shower.’ begged Jennifer.
‘Well, you are right. We need a toilet as well as the shower,’ agreed Max. ‘Who knows how long we will have to stay here. We are not the birds, we need some comfort.’
‘Maybe, I’ll do all my staff somewhere around the corner.’ timidly suggested Jennifer.
‘Shame on you Jenny!’ exclaimed Max with a smile. ‘We are not the savages. Let’s look for it at first.
‘But not too long, Max. I can’t wait anymore. You understand what I mean…Also my nerves.’
Listening to her, Max nodded. Of because he didn’t feel good inside that colorful box but he was not going to show Jennifer his true feelings. For Jennifer was enough of his outer shell. Let she sees him cheerful and confident. Maybe she will not fall into hysterics when she’ll find out that....
‘Max, what do you think about these purple cells or niches? I would fit inside. They looks quite spacious.’ asked Jennifer.
Interrupted by her voice, Max started and looked where Jennifer pointed to.
The cell or room without door was a depth of about two and a height of about three yards. It was completely empty inside, purple outside, yellow inside.
‘If you do you are welcome,’ allowed Max. ‘But if you can, do it as more away from the bed as it possible.’
Jennifer disappeared inside the niche just like blown away by the wind.
Carefully she entered inside the cell. When she turned, she saw that she was separated from Max by a translucent crimson wall. At the same time, before her emerged from the nowhere a glowing red object. In the center of it Jennifer saw a triangular hole. Jennifer by a purely logical way came to the conclusion that this was the toilet. But who knows, may be she was wrong.
All that time while she was inside the unusual toilet, Jennifer was waiting in a horror that someone will seize her and carry off somewhere. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to her.
‘Jenny is you all right?’ asked Max with a concern in his voice.
‘Yes. I’m fine.’ left the cell, she went back to Max.
‘You know, I agree.’ simply she said.
‘What with?’ Max over her shoulder was trying to look inside the cell. There again was nothing.
‘That it’s really the alien’s ship. Why not? It just can’t be anything else. I've been thinking...’
‘While you were sitting in the toilet?’ interested Max.
‘Yes,’ Jennifer smiled. ‘I thought why not it would be the real space ship. It's so awesome, am I right?’
Max even though was surprised by such an unexpected change in her mind, but didn’t show it.
‘Yeah, you are right. I am glad for you. One problem is less. For now it’s only remain to wait when our space’s brothers or how one could call them will appear and tell us what this all mean. Should they ever come to see us? What you think?’
‘Yes, of course. They’ll do it,’ agreed Jennifer. ‘But Max thinks about this entire situation in my way and you understand me. One thing to watches the sci-fi movie about the intrusion of the aliens,’ Jennifer posed.’ Or read the fresh interview about the kidnapping people by the aliens and quite a different thing to get in such situation. On real! It is hard to believe in it. But frankly speaking nobody wants to believe in it at all… Oh, but my job? If I don’t get back from vacation in time, the unpleasant explanation with my boss will be waiting for me.’ Jennifer was saying all this, but in the deep of her heart she did not believe that they really were on the aliens’ ship. Such thought just did not fit in her head. And she did not want to have such thoughts in her head at all. The familiar regular life was more acceptable for her. Everything was just like always: studies, job and parties, Max as well.
For her part, she decided that it was nevertheless a joke. Not funny but a joke. Though she didn’t understand who and why decide to play a joke on them in such a strange way.
If talking about Max, he was not thinking anything at all. His head after the yesterday's events was still heavy, but the thoughts gradually become clear. "Somehow, everything will be fine." he thought, in a Slavic habit. To be honest, ship, or what it was actually even began to interest him. And he began to inspect it gradually.
‘Do you know what I think?’ he began.
‘No till you tell me.’ Jennifer was ready to hear something interesting and at the same time she was surprised that she feels neither hunger nor thirst. Maybe she still sleeps? And the whole conversation with Max result of her dreams? “Well, I get crazy here soon!” she thought.
‘May be it's a reality show!’ exclaimed Max. ‘Folks at your country ardors such TV shows. Think yourself before arguing, Jenny. They kidnaps at night people, totally strange to them people, without letting know them about the TV show, then shut down in an unfamiliar room and waits, what their reaction would be. All these decorations was made with the purpose to force us think that we really got on board the alien’s ship. Well, and so on ...’ Max looked at Jennifer.
Jennifer looked at him with love in her eyes. Lord, how smart how cute he is! How she couldn’t guess about it herself that it was only a TV show! It immediately explains everything. Thanks Lord, at least Max realized what was going on with them!
‘Maxi, I adore you. You are so cute, so lovely. When we go to visit your barbarian country, I'll be praising you to all your friends.’ thankfully said Jennifer.
‘They’ll not understand you. Especially when you call them “barbarians” ore “Asians”,’ replied Max. ‘But even you don’t they still will not understand you because got drunk.’
‘I don’t care. You're a genius. Let me kiss you.’
After a kiss Jennifer said:
‘But law. What about our rights? What do you mean saying, was kidnapped and hold no one knows where? Now I'll show them…’
Jennifer jumped off the purple bed, ran to the yellow wall and struck it with her fists. At least she tried to do such a movement because both her hands up to the elbows came into the yellow substance and remained there. Jennifer's face grew pale with a horror. Both her hands up to the elbows were glowing with a soft, yellow light. In a panic, she drew back her hands as if stumbled, stepped back. The light has not disappeared. Her hands kept glowing.
‘Max, what is it? Do something, please. I beg you!’ she screamed.
“Radiation!” flashed through the head of Max, and he just got frozen of horror. “But why of yellow light? There should be a blue or green or it’s something else?” he did not know.
While he was thinking what to do, the light gradually faded, and Jennifer’s hands acquired its usual appearance.
‘You better...’ Max instantly got hoarse. His nerves were like strings. ‘Come here. Sit down. Something is wrong here. It's as I see a strange TV show.’
Jennifer sat down beside him. She was trembling. She still had a headache but now didn’t want to drink at all.
Max put his arm around her shoulders, drew her closer, and gave her a hug. He tried to come down her. Although did not know how. He was not scared. He felt nothing threatens them. Although didn’t understand the reasons for such assurance.
‘Well I begin to doubt that we are taking part in some a TV show,’ slowly said Max. ‘Maybe it’s some a scientific experiment?’
‘Yeah, sure we both we were selected in the Martian’s crew, for the first fly on Mars…as you said before,’ sarcastically replied Jennifer. ‘Enough! I'm calling my lawyer! I'm tired of it all!’ she turned and grabbed her purse, rummaged inside, pulled out a cell phone, quickly began to dial the number.
The appearance of cell phone in some way had a soothing effect on Max’s nerves. He understood why. It was a familiar thing from their world. And now, the cell phone was just like a kin for him! It was another friend or family’s member who got in troubles with them. Max was looking what was doing Jennifer.
“Beautiful,” he thought involuntarily. “And in bed hot too. Everybody would envy me … Marry her. But then I have to stay in the States. No, not marry her. God, what shall I do?”
‘Max!’ Jennifer’s voice sounded sharply.
‘I’ll marry,’ broke out Max. ‘Oh, sorry Jenny. It’s just escaped.’
Jennifer shrugged her shoulders.
‘I don’t understand what you mean, but now it does not matter. Imagine, we are out of range! Oh, loll. We’re out of luck today totally!’
Jennifer was in a rage.
‘Maybe it’s the SIM card. Check it’ Max suggested without knowing why.
‘What’s wrong with my SIM card?’ Jennifer looked strait into his eyes.
Max’s soul was torn out to say, “Ah hren knows it!’ as if he would say at home in a conversation with his friends when they get in trouble. But Jennifer wouldn’t understand him. But he wasn’t in a mood to translate and explain her meaning of the local word “hren”. Well, we of cause tell our readers what it means – it’s the Ukrainian’s four letters word.
Max scratched his head, looked around the room. It was awesome, but didn’t clear, as he would say to his friends if they would asked him about all situation. But there was nobody to ask. Even the guy that brought them here last night was not here too. They were totally along.
‘Do you remember him?’ he asked Jennifer.
‘Whom?’ Jennifer looked at Max blankly.
‘That guy who invited us here? I still do not know how we can call him; “folk” is not suitable, because as for me he or it didn’t look very much like a normal folk.’
‘Ah, you mean that blond, a waiter?’ said Jennifer lingeringly. ‘Really, where is he? Maybe he can explain us what is going on here.’
“Completely girl got crazy!’ Max exclaimed in his thoughts. “Keep thinking that was a man! Oh, women!”
‘Waiter?’ repeated he after her.
‘Yeah, what’s wrong with it? I clearly remember him,’ said Jennifer. ‘At first I forgot him but now everything getting clear in my head. Such a nice guy, but taciturn. Maybe you should give him more tips?’
‘I didn’t give it to him at all,’ answered Max, wondering of their dialogue.
‘You know Max, I’m not surprised at all hearing this. I heard at your place there is not a habit to leave a tip for waiters. But we do at least a dollar – politeness!’
Max sharply was exhaled. It seems that someone has misunderstood something.
‘Excuse me, Jenny. Do you know about what, or rather who are you talking?’ asked he a question.
Jennifer, while listening to Max, was looking through the list of incoming calls in her cell phone.
‘Max, can you imagine last night unknown number called me twice. I wonder who it was. I did not hear the call.... Well, what you mean “about whom”? As I said before, I clearly remember we were coming up here by the yellow stairs and the waiter ahead or who he was there… Rather here.’
Max scratched his head. He could tell her how it really was, and even struggled to do so. But just two seconds. Then he thought: “What for? What does it change?” and answered to himself, “Nothing!”
‘Why are you silent?’ Jennifer asked.
“What I have to say? It’s just a fignya. I'm sorry, Jenny, escaped. It’s kind of garbage or bullshit in your language.’
‘Cause it’s really a fignya,’ Jennifer agreed thoughtfully. She listened to her inner voice. Somewhere very very deep in her soul were bearing the unknown feeling. Something should happen. Good or bad, she did not know. But something should happen without any doubt. And this “something” will change their life fundamentally, irrevocably and for good. Change even both of them. And also she understood, perhaps instinctively, that the feeling which was bearing in her soul didn’t belong to her, but was infused by somebody. It was as if somebody gradually, preparing her for something. “It’s too much for the party. It’s too much for any reality TV show.” she thought.
‘Max, let’s go to sleep,’ suddenly suggested she. ‘Why break your heads. We better wait till they’ll come and tell us what they want from us.’ Jennifer looked so innocently that Max believed her for a while . . . only for a while. He knew her much better than she thought. Max was sure that Jennifer designed something and didn’t want to tell him.
‘Sleep? You want some sleep? Why, I am not against a sleep. But keep close to me. I feel lonely without you.’ he agreed.
‘Don’t be afraid. I’ll be not only close to you. On the contrary, hold to you tightly, tightly. And we’ll feel good, so good together. You’ll see. I promise.’ Jennifer smiled.
So they did...
Jennifer cheated Max. She did not want to sleep. She just had a plan in her head, wanted to realize it, but she didn’t want to interfere with Max. The essence of her plan was that she had a fixed idea, as if behind the screen on which the distant stars were twinkling, was hidden a door, a way out! So she was going to find it. And for some reason she wanted to do it without Max. Why? She herself did not know it for sure.
As soon as Max fell asleep and his breathing became calm Jennifer trying to avoid any noise got up and went up to the long screen. She looked at the lights of distant stars. An evil appeared on her face. Now she’ll show them! They’ll pay her for everything!
But there was nothing to hold for. The screen was completely flat and nothing came out of the yellow wall. Jennifer drove frantically for a few seconds with her hands on the edges of the screen, hoping to find a button or lever as it shown in the movies. But nothing of that kind was there. Inside of her suddenly flashed up a severe irritation and anger. She moved a step away swung and lightly hit with the heel of her shoe on the screen. No reaction. She hit again. Stronger. The same. And then Jennifer’s nerves gave her up. It could not stand stress any more. The blows rained down on the slim surface of the screen one after another. She beat on the screen with her feet as if it was her worst enemy. Yellow walls around the screen gradually began to darken. But the door has never opened.
Max woke up hearing the noise. The first few seconds, he could not understand what was going on and only stared how Jennifer beat on the screen. Then he quickly jumped out of bed, ran to the girl, grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to pull away from the wall. Seeing that it was Max, Jennifer without any hesitation turned all her fury on him.
‘Max, let me go!’ she screamed, breathing heavily.
‘Fool! You’ll break it!’
‘I want to! Let me go. There's the door!’
‘There is nothing there!’ Max tried to pull her back to the bed.
Jennifer pushed him on his chest. Max for a moment lost his balance and trying to keep himself from falling down, wanted to grab for something, made an involuntary movement with his hand, and it so happened that unwittingly struck Jennifer with his hand over her face.
‘Ah, you're fighting! Barbarian! Asian bear!’ exclaimed she and furiously attacked him.
They fell down on the bed. They began to fight. Jennifer were growling, kicking, rolling all over the bed and was trying even to bite Max. He was silent, and, panting, with a flushed face, tried to grab both of her hands and pressed tightly to her body. He would even tie her up if he got something useful for this purpose at that moment under his hands. Jennifer finally fizzled out and sobbed loudly. Her body became limp and no longer resisted. Max wanted to cry himself. He was very sorry for her. The situation was stupid to dullness, if one could say so. He did not expect such antics from Jennifer and didn’t know how to be, what to do. He just sat beside her and stroked with his hand quickly on her shoulder, trying to calm her down. Nothing was said. He was afraid that any wrong word, again, could bring Jennifer in hysterics.
This lasted until Jennifer fell asleep. But even in her sleep she sobbed heavily and tossed restlessly from side to side. Only then Max wearily laid down beside her and lying on his back and throwing his hands behind his head frantically began to think, what they have to do. “Well,” he thought. “If it is a kidnapping, then sooner or later they will come to tell us their conditions. Ransom? Maybe, but who ordered us? And who is the main object of kidnapping? Jennifer? Me? Both? Rats, but who knows. Damn. Damn it! And there is nobody around to tell about it. There is nobody who could give an advice what to do. I’ve got to call the guys. It’s good, very good that kidnappers didn’t search us; the cell phone still with me… Maybe call them just now? No, no better tomorrow. Maybe now someone is watching us, especially after the Jennifer’s antics.”
Max turned over restlessly, patted his pockets. His cell phone was in the inside pocket of his jacket. Max calmed down. His thoughts, different thoughts began to flow inside his head as a turbulent stream.
“But maybe in this situation the better way is to call to my uncle Nicolas? He works in the security service – serious organization. Not worse than the former KGB. He for sure will solve this problem. Okay, with that later. But again who are the kidnappers? Who is in charge and who is the performer? If it really the kidnapping. But if the TV show? Then it’s fine. But what if the experiment? Worse, but also normal. Well, but what if it really the aliens? Damn! Only this I still was lack! The contact with fucking aliens!”
Max restlessly turned over and examined the strange room. “Well, yes, I don’t think that kidnappers, any kidnappers hold the kidnapped people in such the unusual place. Well, maybe only in US. But not at my place in the Ukraine or in Russia that’s I know for sure. Yes, we are not in Russia. It’s good,” was continuing to think Maxi. “Let’s there be the aliens. The main point is that they would release us afterwards. The main point is that they don’t take us away, God knows where. The main point is that they let us go. But what for we need them? Experiments? But what kind of experiments we are good for? It’s nonsense. We’re the regular people both. What for we need them? Fuck!” Then Max thought that Jennifer would not like that he was again, as she says, "Is expressing.” “Nothing wrong,’ argued he, “I can do it in my thoughts at last. It’s important for every person even in his own mind to stay free. Stay yourself… so the aliens. The main thing is that they’ll let us go after they do with us what they are planning to do. I hope they will not hurt us?
Maybe they also will conduct some experiments on us? Of course we can’t resist that especially on board their ship but I hope they will not turn us into the mutants or zombies! No, damn it, that kind of nonsense! What aliens? They don’t existing at all! Everybody knows it. God, I’ll get crazy here soon… It’s a real stream of consciousness, as would say the dean on the lectures. I think not worse than Mann or James Joyce. Well, God be with them. So Uncle Nicolas. If only the cell phone will work here. But I will know it tomorrow… Tomorrow, all tomorrow ... Uncle Nicolas.” thoughts in Max’s head became confused, his eyes were closing. A minute later he fell into a heavy, restless sleep. Jennifer was sleeping beside him.
Meantime the aliens’ space ship continued to live it own life. Only the bright stars on the screen changed their images and positions. Some of them moved to the edge of the screen giving the place only one which was evilly shining in the center of the screen. And with each passing hour the star was only growing in her size. The space ship was approaching an unknown space’s object – maybe Mars but maybe Jupiter.
