Days on Mars
Day 10

“Sex so disgusting! Iren exclaimed and ran away.
Paul scratched his head and looked after her. I came closer.
“What did you tell her? I asked.
“Did you hear that?” Paul looked at me.
“What Iren said I heard,” I confirmed.
“Yes, she said!” Paul was angry, “I didn’t say anything bad to her. I only said that there is a lot of space around. Nobody here. That we can take a walk and do something. I thought she is a normal girl. She wants sex like everyone else. What's wrong with that? There Jason and Christine ride a rover every night. It’s clear that they’re not admiring the view of Mars.”
There was a dog barking. Khana came running again.
“Listen, she already got me!” Paul exclaimed, “runs here. I wonder where she runs away? Let's follow her, ” he suggested unexpectedly.
“Come on,” I agreed.
“Only two of us. Without a crowd. We as little children walk together everywhere.”
“A safety measure,” I reminded.
“Yes, I know. Stop scaring this Mars. Mars is like Mars. Let's go.”
“Let's go.”
We got out of the ship. Khana just turned around and slowly ran away from the ship. We are behind her. So we walked about a kilometer. Then we saw a pit full with artifacts. All had some inscriptions.
“Aha, now I see where it comes from!” Paul exclaimed.
I took some artifacts. It was a real find.
“And where is the dog?” Paul asked. Khana was nowhere to be seen.
I shrugged.
“Run away.
“Interesting, but how does she live here?” Paul asked unexpectedly, “a week without water and food.”
Really! We somehow did not think about this.
“Maybe she catches and eats brown lizards,” I suggested.
“A suit? She's in a spacesuit.”
“Maybe took it off, probably.”
“Then she would have died from radiation and cold. And where does she get water?”
“How do I know. Maybe she found some kind of cave and is hiding there from radiation and cold. Well, she found water there.”
“I see. You thought it all up very good,” Paul praised me.
“Well, I'm a blogger after all,” I replied.
“Okay, let's get back,” Paul said, “otherwise ours will start to worry.”
“Come on,” I agreed.
We scooped up an armful of artifacts with unknown signs and without incident returned to the ship. There was news waiting for us.
