Marsiana
CHAPTER 7
But that was not all. A week later Billy came to visit her again. He stuck cautiously and was without a tablet. He was holding a stick. What for Marsiana did not know, but did not want to ask too. ‘Hi. What are you doing?’ Billy said, as if nothing had happened. After the day when they showed each other their “stuff” they have not yet seen.
‘Hi,’ Marsiana greeted him. ‘I’m looking at the flowers. Why have you come? Mrs. Carter as I recall, carried the tablet to your grandmother. ‘Yes, she did. I saw,’ Billy confirmed Billy. ‘I ... it's about,’ he hesitated. ‘Maybe you’ll go play with us?’ ‘With us it’s with whom?’ Marsiana inquired who did not want to go anywhere. ‘With me and two other kids. They also live on our street.’ Billy explained. ‘But what game do you play?’ ‘Well, different games. Shooters, adventures, you can also build something too.’ ‘So you propose me to play the computer games?’ Marsiana asked. ‘Of course, but what else?’ Billy wondered. ‘I thought you play live games,’ Marsiana said. ‘Well, I mean catch each other, hide.’ ‘Ah, well,’ Billy said and Marsiana became clear that her young admirer is not an adherent of active play in the fresh air. Their conversation got a pause. Billy did not know what else to say, but Marsiana was thinking about something else. Billy for some moment kept silence but could not stand and said loudly: ‘I know what sex is!’ he blurted out victoriously. Marsiana looked curiously at him. At this point, she’s got remarkably beautiful eyes and hair, and she all seemed to glow with an inner light. Billy was just delighted when looked at her and forget about everything. ‘What?’ she asked turning to him. Until that moment, her attention was drawn to the flowers. ‘This is when you reproduce oneself,’ Billy acidly told. ‘So now you're alone, but after sex you’ve got reproduced, and already you're not alone.’ ‘You mean that?’ Marsiana asked. Billy's eyes widened in surprise, and he, like the last time when Marsiana demonstrated her “things”, sat down on the ground. Before him stood motionless Marsiana, and on either side of her were five little girls who looked just like Marsiana. ‘Did you mean this? I reproduced myself correctly?’ Marsiana asked and her words echoed ten girls. Billy could not utter a word. He just sat on the ground and looked at her. ‘I can reproduce even more,’ Marsiana said, as if determined to make fun of the poor boy. ‘Look!’ After her words, Billy saw behind the girls began to emerge whole series of Marsianas. All were alike as two drops of water and did not differ from his unusual friend. Marsianas lined up in rows, and all looked at Billy who was sitting on the ground. ‘Maybe it’s enough to reproduce or not?’ Marsiana said. ‘It’s difficult. I can still reproduce if you want. Sex – it's great. I love sex!’ Since Billy was not able to say something new Marsianas have already began to appear in the windows of the house of Mrs. Carter, and then on the roof. Billy got scared. He suddenly screamed, jumped up and ran away. ‘Billy, where are you going?’ shouted in unison at his back dozens of beautiful Marsianas. ‘You wanted to play? Have you forgotten already?’ Billy did not look back. He was already in the street and kept running with all his strength. To play with Marsiana and more over to talk with her about sex he didn’t want any more. Gave in such way a lesson to her not for his years worried about sex admirer Marsiana in a split of second got her previous form, and returned to her task. As for the first time the cat of Mrs. Carter was watching Billy’s visit and what was going on in the garden. She rubbed his back against Marsiana’s feet and said: ‘It’s a weird boy.’ ‘I don't think so. The most common,’ Marsiana replied and stroked the cat behind the ears. ‘I wonder what he wants from you,’ the cat was thinking aloud. ‘He likes me,’ Marsiana said calmly. The cat stretched. Marsiana stared at her, and then suddenly, even to herself entered the cat's brain. Marsiana saw some strange, distant and unusual planet. She stood on a dark surface, there was nobody around, but in the white sky was shining the red star. In the planet’s air hung some black objects of different sizes and shapes. It was the spaceships. The planet, where came from a cat, looked grim and gloomy. Marsiana did not see there any flower. “Well, a sad world,” Marsiana thought, looking around. “No wonder that you are so liked the house of Mrs. Carter. You even do not want to return to your homeland.” By Marsiana came a strange, odd creature. It was flattened and on a flat, black head one could see a yellow eye. The creature swam past Marsiana and disappeared into one of the ships. Marsiana was waiting for what will happen next. The ship silently melted into the pale sky of the planet. The rest of the ships like storm’s clouds parted to the side and disappeared over the horizon. Marsiana left alone. The planet was completely deserted. “Where are the local residents?” she mused in surprise continuing to look around with interest. Nobody could see her, so she had nothing to fear. Nobody except the cat of Mrs. Carter. Marsiana suddenly felt a light touch to her leg. The girl winced and looked down. Cat of Mrs. Carter stared into her eyes. Marsiana felt the she begins to redden. She felt herself very uncomfortable. ‘You shouldn’t poke around in my brain without permission,’ cat said. ‘If you would like to see my planet you could simply ask, and I would show it to you.’ ‘Sorry, it turned out,’ Marsiana left the cat's brain and then transported to the earth’s sunny day. There was much better. ‘Don’t worry. I'm not offended. You're right. On Earth better,’ cat said. ‘I agreed,’ Marsiana came to her flowers and began to study them carefully. The cat turned and, without saying a word, went about his business. From the windows of the house next door for Marsiana were watching two FBI agents. She did not know, but a week ago the local branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued an order to its agents, to set after the girl, who in a week has evolved from a baby girl in five-year twenty four hours surveillance. All that saw little Billy, saw also FBI agents. They were no less then Billy shocked with what they saw in the courtyard of a law-abiding, Mrs. Carter. In FBI not without the reason decided that a human’s child can not grows so quickly and does with its body the different things which did Marsiana. Therefore – Marsiana was not a human in the usual sense of the word. Who she was really just wanted to find out the FBI. In order not to create undesirable noise and panic in a small town, it was decided to limit yet with an unofficial supervision of the house of Mrs. Carter and all its inhabitants. Especially the girl almost did not leave the yard of Mrs. Carter, was busy almost all the time in the flower’s garden. As expected it was the respectable neighbors of Mrs. Carter who informed against Marsiana. In her eyes, they admired the girl, but for the eyes immediately rushed to call to the proper institutions. Marsiana if she even was guessing what was happening around her pretended that she noticed nothing. Outwardly, she was calm and quite happy. However, like Mrs. Carter herself. With each passing day she more and more was becoming attended to her unusual granddaughter.
