Marsiana
CHAPTER 9
At night Marsiana felt someone urgently needs her help. She did not know exactly to whom and where, but immediately went to the rescue. The planet, on which she got, was not familiar to her and didn’t look at all as her favorite, but a deserted Mars or the Earth, which she also begun slowly to like.
Marsiana carefully looked around. The street was dark. Probably it started the local night. There were not stars in the sky. Moon too. She was on a flat ground surrounded on both sides by small lakes with dark liquid. This fluid somehow oddly was moving as if it was not fluid at all but some local strange creature. And this dark liquid was slowly rising to the low hill in the form of a disc, on which stood a teenage girl. In appearance she was not more than fifteen years. The girl had blond hair, blue eyes, and she was slim and slender. Behind the girl was a crashed subject that likely was her aircraft. ‘Help!’ she cried with a hope in her voice when she saw Marsiana. She and Marsiana divided a living lake, which changes its shape. From the edge of a dark liquid up to the girl’s feet left no more then three meters. The liquid seemed on its way corroded surface of the planet, and approaching to it victim was increasing in its size. Marsiana was not scary at all. She already knew what she needs to do. ‘Don't be afraid,’ she cried with the confident voice. ‘Now I'll help you.’ ‘Be hurry, Marsiana. It is close,’ the girl said in a frightened voice, unconsciously pressing her back against shot down craft. Marsiana slightly surprised that a stranger knew her name, but not much. She walked to the edge of the living lake, and it is right in front her was beginning to glaze, then crack and crumbled to pieces. In less than thirty seconds, it disappeared completely. The second lake of dark liquid as if realizing what had happened quickly absorbed into the soil of the planet. Path to the stranger was opened. Marsiana calmly walked over to the girl and examined her carefully. Then she say hello. ‘Hey!’ she said. ‘You can no longer be afraid.’ ‘Thank you, Marsiana. I am very grateful to you and am very glad that it was you who came to rescue.’ the girl answered ‘How do you know my name?’ Marsiana asked that was quite logical. ‘Just know. In some ways, we're sisters,’ said the stranger girl said, coming closer to Marsiana. ‘Really?’ Marsiana said with surprise, curiously peering into the pretty face of her “sister”. ‘Well, I did not expect to see here my sister. Anyway, I did not think that I have somewhere a sister. Interestingly, we're sisters by mom or dad?’ ‘By Lomma,’ girl replied calmly. Marsiana surprised even more. ‘You know Lomma and Arel?’ she asked. ‘Of course. We're sisters.’ ‘Clear. What is your name?’ ‘Elniriya,’ the girl said. ‘Beautiful name,’ Marsiana said, looking at her sister with big eyes. The sister, like, looked normal, but Marsiana felt something in her was wrong. What exactly she just was trying to figure out. ‘I am so glad you saved me. So happy!’ Elniriya exclaimed, suddenly came to Marsiana, hugged her and kissed her. Then again and again. When she tried to kiss Marsiana for the fourth time, Marsiana firmly pushed her away with her hand. ‘Enough. You need to meet with Billy. He’s got an interesting thing, but you as I see love kissing. You’ll be a great couple,’ Marsiana, wiping her cheek with his hand, where she was kissed by Elniriya. Elniriya looked upset. ‘You understood all in a wrong way. I just thought that people like when they kiss by some one a lot. In fact, I'm not even a human. It is for you I look like a nice girl. Look!’ It doesn’t matter. I understood everything,’ Marsiana objected, but still looked at the girl. All Elniriya’s body became translucent, and inside of it Marsiana saw a very different creature. ‘Now you believe me?’ Elniriya asked again taking again human’s form. Marsiana affirmatively bowed her head. ‘So I like you more.’ They were silent for a minute. ‘But who is Billy?’ Elniriya asked. ‘One boy. Want me to show him to you?’ Marsiana suddenly proposed. ‘I want to,’ also unexpectedly agreed with the proposal of Marsiana the unusual girl. Marsiana nodded and looked down at her feet. ‘Billy, where are you?’ she said softly. ‘There is one girl wants to meet you.’ Next to Marsiana of nowhere appeared sleepy Billy. He wore a child’s pajamas with funny dinosaurs. Billy looked at Marsiana then somehow foolishly smiled and said: ‘Oh, my love. I dreamed about you. How happy I am!’ he continued to smile like an idiot. ‘It’s Billy,’ Marsiana said, not paying attention to the boy that was standing next to her. Elniriya scrutinized Billy from head to toe. ‘About what little thing you talked?’ she asked. ‘It doesn’t matter,’ Marsiana has not been set to go into the details of Billy’s anatomy. ‘I think you know yourself.’ Elniriya shook her head: ‘I can’t even imagine what you're talking about.’ ‘Well, okay. Seen enough? Because it’s time for Billy to go to bed until he woke up and finally went mad. Or maybe you take him with you?’ Marsiana suddenly joked. Elniriya took her words seriously. ‘Take. Billy will you fly with me?’ she asked, referring to the boy. Billy looked confused at the unknown girl, and as if looking for support, looked at Marsiana. Marsiana snorted and shrugged. ‘What are you looking at me? Decide yourself,’ she said. Billy thought a little, and shook his head: ‘No I can not. I love Marsiana. And you’re too old for me. Though beautiful too,’ he said. ‘That's fine,’ Marsiana said impatiently and then Billy disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared before. Elniriya looked into the distance. ‘I have to go,’ she said sadly. ‘It’s time,’ Marsiana agreed. ‘By the way, I'll fix your ship. You can fly home now.’ On the face of Elniriya reflected the genuine surprise. ‘When did you do it?’ ‘Never mind. I had time,’ Marsiana said briefly. ‘Thank you very much. For all thank you,’ Elniriya said. ‘Maybe you will fly with me to my home?’ she said suddenly. ‘You can see how I live.’ ‘And where do you live? Long away?’ ‘In the Orion constellation as you called it.’ ‘Oho!’ escaped from Marsiana. ‘Far away, but how do you call this constellation in your own way?’ ‘The same as you do.’ Elniriya said. ‘We like this name.’ ‘Thanks for the offer. I can not. I still can not move such enormous distances,’ Marsiana explained. ‘Maybe another time. I have not yet done in the house of Mrs. Carter what I have to do. Do you understand me?’ ‘Yes, I do,’ Elniriya sighed. ‘I like you very much. I will miss you.’ ‘Me too. But I will not miss you. I have got Billy,’ Marsiana joked. Elniriya smiled. ‘You're good,’ she said. ‘You too.’ At that they parted. Marsiana returned to the house of Mrs. Carter, but Elniriya on her distant planet.
